Despite the ongoing challenging COVID-19 situation it is with great pleasure to inform the general public that this year’s edition of the SportMalta Awards l-Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali will still be organised jointly by SportMalta and the Malta Sports Journalists Association.
Since the majority of our Sports Associations / Federations and athletes have all stepped up their efforts to continue where possible their respective activities, we deemed it only fair that once again we should recognise the sporting achievements of the past year.
This year’s edition will be held on Saturday 13th March 2021 and will be organised following all COVID-19 mitigation measures in place by the local Health Authorities.
The nominations for this year’s edition can be done once again online through the below online form below:

Associations and Federations are being asked to fill in the form by listing down the names of athletes, officials and teams along with results achieved in the period Jan 2020 – Dec 2020. Each Association or Federation can only submit one nomination per category.

The results achieved of all nominees submitted will be scrutinized by the Organising Committee and shortlisted to formulate the semifinalists list.
Subsequently active sports journalists members of the Malta Sports Journalists Association will be voting to determine the 5 finalists in each category from which the winner will be announced during the awards night.
The Closing date for nominations is at noon of Monday 15th February 2021.
