The Malta Sports Journalists Association joins the Maltese football community in remembering the late Sammy Nicholl who passed away last night. Mr Nicholl was a sports journalist and a member of the association for several years. Sammy Nicholl was a very active member of the association in the 80s and 90s.

For several years, he contributed to the local newspaper Times of Malta within its sports pages with weekly analysis of the Maltese Premier League. He was also a regular commentator on various programmes on the national TV station.

The Executive Committee of the Malta Sports Journalists Association sends its sincere condolences to all his family.
