The Malta Sports Journalists Association joins the local sporting community to mourn the passing away of Christopher Busuttil Leaver.

Mr Busuttil Leaver was a sports enthusiast following football and eventually hockey. In Hockey he had an illustrious career, first as a player and then in administration of the local Association. He occupied the role of General Secretary and eventually became President of the Malta Hockey Association. He was also involved in the organisation of several international tournaments such as the Hockey Challenge Tournament which the European Hockey Association had entrusted to the Maltese association.

For several years, he was an active member of the Malta Sports Journalists Association, where he regularly contributed as a commentator for the Maltese National Hockey League on Melita’s Sports Channel.

The Executive Committee of the Malta Sports Journalists Association sends its sincere condolences to all the Busuttil Leaver family.
