L-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports tilqa’ b’sodisfazzjoni id-digriet tal-Qorti fil-konfront tal-ġurnalist sportiv Antvin Monseigneur

By |November 17th, 2017|0 Comments

L-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports tilqa' b'sodisfazzjoni id-digriet tal-Qorti maħruġ mill-Maġistrat Joseph Mifsud fejn ta ordni ta' protezzjoni fil-konfront tal-ġurnalist sportiv Antvin Monseigneur. Il-Każ jirrelata ma’ aggressjoni li saret minn Francis Melito Muscat magħruf bħala Frankie Muscat fil-konfront ta' dan il-ġurnalist fit-23 ta' Settembru 2017,  wara li kienet għada kemm intemmet attivita' tal-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports fil-Luxol Grounds f'Pembroke. L-Aggressjoni saret wara li l-ġurnalist, ftit jiem qabel, kien irraporta li s-Sur Muscat kien qed jattendi l-logħbiet tal-Waterpolo tal-ASA waqt li kient qed jiskonta sentenza ta' dixxiplina mill-ASA li kienet tipprojbixxi lilu milli jidħol fil-Pixxina Nazzjonali għal perjodu speċifiku. L-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports tilqa' b'sodisfazzjon aktar il-fatt li f'dan il-digriet is-Sur Muscat qed ikun projbit milli jidħol fl-impjanti sportivi kollha f'Malta u f'Għawdex, fost kundizzjonijiet oħra. Dan hu sinjal b'saħħtu mill-Qrati Maltin li qed iwasslu messaġġ ċar favur il-protezzjoni tal-ġurnalisti li huma wieħed mill-pilastri ewlenin tad-demokrazija f'pajjiżna. Il-Kawża mistennija tkompli fit-3 ta' Jannar 2018.

A statement used by MFA presented by the local Maltese clubs to attract sympathy from the general public

By |October 26th, 2017|0 Comments

The Committee of the Malta Sports Journalists Association disassociates itself from the ‘Stunt’ of propaganda that MFA tried to perpetrate by providing a steamer before the BOV Premier matches during the weekend with a statement of: 'Football for Life Supports Free Press' (as seen in the photo). The committee reacted to this banner using two different phrases addressed to the Malta football Association: 'Practice what you preach' and 'Charity begins at home' Whilst the committee of the Malta Sports Journalists Association joins with the IGM and also the civil society to condemn the act that resulted to the assassination of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, the general public and the sports public need to understand that till now eventhough MFA has been speaking in favour of Free Press yet the local sport media are still not accepted with the rest of the club delegates in order to report the [...]
