This year's edition of SportMalta Awards Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali will take place on Saturday 13 March 2021. This was announced today during a Press Conference in which the details related to the organization of this edition were given. This year’s edition, due to the present circumstances of COVID-19, will be a restricted one and different from the recent editions. At the Press Conference it was explained that after the Executive of the Sports Journalists Association took into account the situation of Sport in our country especially from March to December last year, it was wise to ask SportMalta to in spite of everything the 61st edition of this event would take place anyway. L-edizzjoni ta' din is-sena ta' SportMalta Awards Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali se ssir nhar is-Sibt 13 ta' Marzu 2021. Dan tħabbar illum waqt Konferenza Stampa li fiha ingħataw id-dettalji marbuta mal-organiżazzjoni tal-edizzjoni ta' din is-sena li minħabba ċ-ċirkostanzi preżenti tal-COVID-19 se tkun waħda ristretta u differenti mill-edizzjonijiet riċenti. Fil-Konferenza Stampa ġie spjegat li wara li l-Eżekuttiv tal-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports ħa inkonsiderazzjoni s-sitwazzjoni tal-Isport f'pajjiżna speċjalment minn Marzu sa Diċembru tas-sena l-oħra, kien għaqli li jitlob lill-SportMalta sabiex minkejja kollox il-61 edizzjoni ta' dan l-avveniment issir xorta waħda. Eventwalment wara li t-talba tal-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports kienet aċċetata kemm minn SportMalta u anke mis-Segretarjat Parlamentari bdew mill-ewwel it-tħejjijiet sabiex tkun organiżżata edizzjoni oħra li tippremja l-aħjar riżultati tas-sena 2020. The Organising Committee of the national sporting event SportMalta Awards Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali composed of members from SportMalta and the Malta Sports Journalists Association wished to inform all Sports Associations and Federations that submissions for this year's event can be made until Sunday 14th February.
