Rylee Borg (Weightlifting) u t-Tim Nazzjonali tal-Volleyball tan-Nisa ta’ taħt it-18-il sena huma r-rebbieħa tal-unur tal-Atlas Atleta Żagħżugħ tax-Xahar għal April 2024. Rylee Borg, li għandu 17-il sena, kien l-aktar li spikka waqt il-Malta Open Championships organizzati mill-Malta Weightlifting Association. Borg kellu wirja eċċezzjonali ta’ saħħa u ħila fil-kategoriji Junior u anke Senior. Ir-refgħat impressjonanti tiegħu jinkludu l-109-113-116 kilo fl-iSnatch u 136-142-146 kilo fil-Clean & Jerk, li laħqu total ta’ 262 kilo u punteġġ eċċellenti ta’ 334 punt. Barra minn hekk, Borg stabbilixxa 8 rekords nazzjonali fid-diviżjonijiet Junior, U23, u anke Senior. Min-naħa l-oħra t-Tim Nazzjonali tal-Volleyball tan-Nisa ta’ taħt it-18 il-sena rebaħ il-Kampjonat tal-Assoċjazzjonijiet tal-Pajjiżi ż-Żgħar ta’ taħt it-tmintax-il sena. Dan il-kampjonat intlagħab fil-Padiljun Sportiv tal-Kottonera u fil-Finali ra lit-tfajliet Maltin jieħdu rebħa tajba ta’ 3-0 (24-25, 25-18, 25-20) kontra l-Iskozja. The Malta Sports Journalists Association joins the local sporting community to mourn the passing away of Christopher Busuttil Leaver. Mr Busuttil Leaver was a sports enthusiast following football and eventually hockey. In Hockey he had an illustrious career, first as a player and then in administration of the local Association. He occupied the role of General Secretary and eventually became President of the Malta Hockey Association. He was also involved in the organisation of several international tournaments such as the Hockey Challenge Tournament which the European Hockey Association had entrusted to the Maltese association. For several years, he was an active member of the Malta Sports Journalists Association, where he regularly contributed as a commentator for the Maltese National Hockey League on Melita's Sports Channel. L-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports tingħaqad mal-komunità sportiva u ssellem il-memorja ta’ Christopher Busuttil Leaver. Huwa kien isegwi l-futbol imbagħad il-hockey, fejn beda bħala plejer u wara kien fl-ogħla karigi fit-tmexxija tal-Assoċjazzjoni Maltija tal-Hockey. Huwa serva bħala Segretarju Ġenerali u wara bħala President fejn kien involut fl-organizzazzjoni ta' diversi tournaments internazzjonali fosthom il-Hockey Challenge Tournament li l-European Hockey Association kienet fdat f'idejn l-assoċjazzjoni Maltija. Għal diversi snin kien membru attiv fl-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports billi kien kontributur regolari bħala kummentatur tal-Kampjonat Nazzjonali tal-Hockey fuq l-istazzjon sportiv tal-pjattaforma Melita. Il-Kumitat Eżekuttiv tal-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports jibgħat il-kondoljanzi lill-membri kollha tal-familja Busuttil Leaver.
