A nerve-racking matchday determines the last qualified teams
Review of today's FIFA Women's World Cup matches by our intern Emilia Beutel After fourteen days in the battle for a place in the last 16, the last two teams have now been determined. The German team falls behind early but catches up shortly before the break. Nevertheless, the 1-1 draw is not enough to put them in third place after the Moroccan women beat the favourites, Colombia. After Germany's 1-1 draw, they should have hoped for a Colombia win. But thanks to a strong performance by the Moroccans and Lahmari's goal in first-half injury time, they defeated the previously unbeaten Colombians, thus also eliminating Germany, who had previously won 6-0 against Morocco.
