Sasha Gatt wins the Atlas Youth Athlete of the Month Award for May 2023

Olympic swimmer Sasha Gatt has been awarded the Atlas Youth Athlete of the Month Award for the month of May. She’s a familiar face for this award, which she already won in August 2020 and June 2021. In the Games of Small States of Europe 2023, Sasha Gatt won three medals in the first two days of the games. She won a silver medal in the Women’s 800m Freestyle and a bronze medal in the Women’s 400m Freestyle, finishing just behind the swimmer from San Marino, Arianna Valloni in both competitions. She was also part of the Women's team which achieved a silver medal in the 4 x 200m Freestyle Relay. Valletta IZIBET jirbħu t-Tazza tal-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports 2023

It-Team ta' Valletta IZIBET rebaħ it-Tazza tal-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports 2023 organizzata mill-Assoċjazzjoni tal-Isport Akkwatiku ta’ Malta. Il-Finali tat-Tazza GħĠS din is-sena kienet kkontestata bejn iż-żewġ protagonisti ewlenin tal-Ewwel Diviżjoni tas-sena 2022; Marsaskala ESC u Valletta IZIBET, b'dawn tal-aħħar joħorġu rebbieħa f’taqtigħa ħarxa fejn Valletta IZIBET għelbu lill-Marsaskala ESC bl-iskor ta’ 9-8. Din il-finali serviet bħala ftuħ mill-isbaħ għall-Kampjonat Nazzjonali tas-Sajf 2023. Fost il-plejers ta’ Valletta IZIBET, kien hemm iż-żewġ plejers barranin ġodda, Andrija Vlahovic u Ivan Nagaev. Min-naħa l-oħra, għal Marsaskala ESC iddebuttaw iż-żewġ plejers barranin ġodda tagħhom, Benco Batori u Ferenc Salamon. Wara l-partita, l-President tal-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports, Sandro Micallef ippreżenta t-Tazza tal-GħĠS 2023 lill-captain ta’ Valletta IZIBET, Daniel Paolella. Valletta IZIBET claim 2023 GħĠS Water Polo Cup

8th June 2023 Valletta IZIBET claimed the 2023 GħĠS Cup in a seasonal Water polo opener final organised by the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta. The GħĠS Cup final (Malta Sports Journalists Association Cup) was contested this year by the two main protagonists of last year’s First Division namely Marsaskala ESC and Valletta IZIBET. It was the latter who came out victorious in a nail-biting finale whereby Valletta IZIBET trailed 9-8 against Marsaskala ESC for what proved to be a grand opener for the 2023 Summer National League. Valletta IZIBET had amongst their ranks their two new foreign players namely Andrija Vlahovic and Ivan Nagaev whilst Marsaskala ESC on the other hand also gave the debut to their two new foreign recruits Bence Batori and Ferenc Salamon.
