The Malta Sports Journalists Association once again organised the Boxing Day Football Tournament, with the participation of four teams; one representing the media, one representing the coaches by the Malta Football Coaches Association (MFCA), one for the referees represented by the Malta Football Referees Association and another team formed by the Malta Football Association’s staff. The winners of this tournament were the coaches' football team of MFCA.

This tournament was organised after two years of absence due to the pandemic. All the participants were honoured by the presence of H.E. President of Malta Dr George Vella at around 10 a.m., where he shared his thoughts for a few minutes and made the symbolic kick off for the second set of matches.

All the participants, including those members from the various associations who didn’t play, but where there for support, gave their donation. The total collected sum which will be presented during L-Istrina was of €1,100.

The MSJA’s executive committee would like to thank the high officials of the MFA for providing the facilities at the Centenary Stadium, the MFRA for providing two referees to control the matches and the MFCA for their participation this year.

On general request, a similar tournament will be organised once again on next year's Easter Saturday, with the participation of teams invited by the Malta Sports Journalists Association.

L-Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports (GħĠS) għal sena oħra organizzat it-tournament tradizzjonali ta’ Boxing Day, fejn kien hemm il-parteċipazzjoni ta’ erba’ timijiet: tim li jirrapreżenta lill-media, tim li jirrapreżenta il-kowċis tal-Malta Football Coaches Association (MFCA), tim li jirrapreżenta lir-referis organizzat mill-Malta Football Referees Association u tim magħmul mill-istaff tal-Malta Football Association (MFA). Ir-rebbieħa ta’ dan it-tournament kienu t-team tal-kowċis tal-MFCA.

Dan it-tournament reġa' kien organizzat wara nuqqas ta’ sentejn, minħabba l-pandemija. Il-parteċipanti kollha kienu onorati bil-preżenza tal-E.T. il-President ta’ Malta Dr George Vella, illi attenda għall-ħabta tal-10 a.m, fejn għal ftit minuti qasam il-ħsibiijiet tiegħu ta' din il-ġurnata impenjattiva għal;ih u ta l-kick off simboliku tat-tieni sett ta’ logħbiet.

Il-parteċipanti kollha anki dawk il-membri mill-assoċjazzjonijiet varji li ma lagħbux u kienu preżenti bħala sostenn, għamlu d-donazzjoni tagħhom u s-somma totali miġbura kienet ta’ €1,100 li se tkun ippreżentata waqt l-Istrina.
