Dear Malta SJA members,
The International Sports Press Association (AIPS) has just informed us that it has commenced the process of renewals and new memberships for the AIPS cards for the years 2024 and 2025.
Apart from being members of the Malta Sports Journalists Association (MSJA), we strongly recommend each and everyone of you to also enrol with AIPS.
AIPS and moreover its European section; AIPS Europe are committed to improving conditions for working journalists.
AIPS remains committed to enhancing the cooperation between its member associations in defending sport and the professional independence of journalism. Our international body; AIPS, also strives to defend the common interests between sports journalists of all nations, with the purpose of assuring the best working conditions.
The AIPS card, which is the only official sports press card recognised across all borders, represents an important network of contacts, information and communications linking more than 10,000 journalists as well as leading international daily newspapers, periodicals and radio and television channels across the five continents.
When joining AIPS, you’ll receive a personalised international press card, which is recognised widely by all International Sports Federations like FIFA, UEFA, World and European Athletics, World and European Aquatics and several domestic International Clubs.
The two-year AIPS membership fee is €40, for two years of which the Malta Sports Journalists Association does NOT take any share or commission, however to become an AIPS card holder one must be enrolled with the Malta SJA.
Those interested to renew or to apply for the first time for the AIPS are requested to send an email on info@maltasportsjournalists.com clearly indicating the the subject 'AIPS Card 2024-2025'
Regards,
Lorraine Cunningham
