The MSJA enjoys good and close relations with many other organisations, especially AIPS – the international sports journalist’s association, which was formed in 1924.
AIPS and AIPS Europe are committed to improving conditions for working journalists. In addition, they organise regular ‘Young Reporter’ schemes to help young people working in the media.
For instance, in 2019’s AIPS Sport Media Awards, two submissions by our members ranked very high when taking into consideration just the European submissions. In the photography sport action Domenic Aquilina was 5th whilst in the Young Reporters Writing Stewart Said finished 9th.
Former MSJA’s President Charles Camenzuli is one of the Vice Presidents and President of the AIPS Europe.
When joining AIPS, you’ll receive its internationally recognised press card. The AIPS card is recognised widely in France, by UEFA and other bodies like the IAAF.
The two-year membership of AIPS costs MSJA members a fee of €40.
As MSJA we collect the fees on behalf of AIPS. The fee also includes our administration costs.
To become and remain a member of the AIPS you must be an MSJA member.
Those interested are kindly to contact us by not later than the 15th December 2021.
