Dear members,
The University of Malta and the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector (MCVS) have signed an agreement through which an Undergraduate Certificate Course in Volunteering Studies was launched for the first time.
The launch of this educational course was made by the Minister for Inclusion and Volunteering Julia Farrugia Portelli and the Minister for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation Clifton Grima, in the presence of the Chairperson of MCVS Gertrude Buttigieg, MCVS CEO Mauro Pace Parascandalo and the Rector of the University of Malta, Prof. Alfred J. Vella.
The course, which will be carried out with an investment of €12,000 from MCVS, is an MQF Level 5 and is part of the courses offered by the Faculty for Social Wellbeing. It is ideal for those who manage a voluntary organisation or are employed in one, especially if they manage people who do voluntary work. It is also aimed at anyone who does voluntary work or wants to get involved in the sector.
